Maybe they meant that they can buy them in Canada? Apparently you can’t in America.

Nope, it’s a blog dedicated to all things born and bred Canadian.
They failed there :)

The American thing is true. Apparently they aren’t allowed to buy candy that contains toys inside?
No idea why.

AWWW Of all the things that they can’t have! Candy with toys inside! In Italy over Easter they have massive Easter eggs with toys inside. At least that is how I remember it from when I went as a child.

YUMO! We don’t have Easter eggs with toys in. But we do have Kinder Eggs and they are all year round. :)

And as my friend pointed out, Americans will sue for anything. Toys in candy can be hazardous. Although Kinder Eggs have little containers inside the chocolate and the toys are in the container. Good luck swallowing that…

Kinder Surpris are “PROHIBITED” in the states. Try telling that to all the Russian shops down here in Atlanta :D

Kinder Surprise originated in 1972 in Italy as Kinder Sorpresa. The German word “Kinder” in the name came about because in 1967, Ferrero’s German subsidiary introduced Kinder Chocolate (“Kinderschokolade”) to the German market, and in 1968 that product was introduced to Ferrero’s native Italy, establishing the “Kinder” brand there, prior to the introduction of the Kinder Sorpresa chocolate eggs. Kinder Surprise eggs were introduced to the German market in 1974, and for many years this was the largest market for the product.”
